37 Celebs You Didn't Know Were Drummers

July 2, 2017

Some drummers drive station wagons, some wear obvious T-shirts that advertise their love for the sport, while others get about with their external appearance looking just like another harmless civilian. Their "business as usual face" can be quite deceiving, as the groove and rhythm train internally thumps through their veins, driving them from one moment to the next. Drummers are not just drummers! They are also movie stars, singers, sport stars, and television presenters.

There are many fascinating people in this world who are fantastically multi-talented and nearly always..unassuming. Underneath the popularity layer.. the skin of an individuals stardom, is where you find their unique flavours, diverse inspirations and details on what their driving force is. The core ingredient however, in nearly all entertainers, performers, television personality's and movie stars…is music.

It’s surprising to learn how many careers in the entertainment industry were inspired by discovering music. And to decend the ladder a little further and dig a bit deeper...drumming in music. Historically overlooked, we now see that drumming has been the spark and the trigger, that has brought about many successful careers.

All of the names in the previous lists would agree with me when I say,

learning to be rhythmical opens the mind up creatively, and boosts the way we understanding things. The experience of group musical interaction is a tribal one that’s lodged in all of our DNA, and when learned, is an amazing communication tool where spoken language is not required.

Probably the most fun instrument to learn for every human is the drums, and why wouldn’t it be… the feeling is primal.
